amount created by this recipe is completely up to you – it’s just one chocolate
caramel square and one slice of banana per dumpling.

Ingredients
- Bananas, sliced 1/4-inch thick
- Milk chocolate (best choice is the candy bar variety that is sectioned into squares)
- Grated coconut, unsweetened
- Wonton wrappers
- Oil, for frying (canola or peanut oil, depending on allergies)
- Cinnamon and icing sugar to dust as a garnish
Directions
- Heat oil in a heavy bottom pot 3 inches deep until it reaches 350 degrees F. Monitor the temperature using a candy thermometer.
- Onto the centre of a wonton wrapper, sprinkle a nice pinch of coconut. Top with a banana slice and then a chocolate caramel square. Use your finger to dampen the perimeter of the wrapper with water. Gently lift two opposing corners and pinch tightly together to seal. Lift the remaining corners one at a time, sealing the points and edges together using additional water if necessary (careful not to soak the wonton). The finished product will look like a little square envelope.
- When the oil is at 350 degrees F, use a mesh ladle to gently place 3-4 wonton parcels into the oil. Using the same spoon to flip the wontons as needed, fry until golden brown (this happens rather quickly). Remove and place onto a tray lined with paper towels to absorb the excess oil.
- Dust the wontons with powdered sugar and cinnamon before serving. You can also top them off with fresh strawberry (see recipe below)
- Enjoy!
